How Much Does Boudoir Photography Cost in the San Francisco Bay Area?
Boudoir photography with me in the San Francisco Bay Area typically starts at $500 for your session, and most clients typically invest around $2,000-3,000 in their images and products on top of that. Payment plans are available so the investment fits your life.
Every session includes a pre-consultation, wardrobe guidance and consultation, access to my client closet, your boudoir session with professional hair and makeup, professional posing guidance, professional editing and retouching of images, and an image reveal and order appointment.
I know pricing can feel like the scary part, so let's talk about it honestly. No mystery, no surprise fees, and no pressure.
Why is boudoir photography priced the way it is?
Boudoir is a very personal service and vulnerable experience, and the price reflects far more than the hour or two behind the camera. You're paying for 15+ years of experience, one-on-one guidance through every pose, professional lighting, careful editing of every image, and a private, comfortable experience from your first message to your reveal.
Some of my work has been recognized internationally (AIBP Top 100 Boudoir, 2023 to 2025), I’ve been published internationally, and have all 5 star reviews, but the part I care about most is that you feel safe, supported, and amazing in front of my camera. That's what you're really investing in.
What's included in a session with me?
Pre-session consultation
Wardrobe consultation and a Boudoir Prep Guide covering what to wear and how to prepare
3-5 outfit changes, with access to my Client Closet and guidance on purchasing a special piece of wardrobe for your session
Professional hair and makeup
Your session, with professional guidance on posing from head to toe
Professional editing of images
Reveal and ordering appointment
What does a boudoir session cost in the Bay Area?
Here's how my pricing works:
Session fee: $500, due at booking to hold your date (non-refundable). This is separate from your images and products.
Images and products: there's no minimum spend, so you choose what your budget allows from an à la carte menu or pre-designed collections. Most clients invest around $2,000 to $3,000.
Collections: most include an album, wall art, digital images, and more goodies clients love!
Prices vary widely from photographer to photographer, so I'd encourage you to compare what's included instead of looking at the number alone. Ask about retouching, outfit changes, hair and makeup, and whether your images come with a printing license. It’s also very important to look at the quality of work and the experience the photographer has. A boudoir photographer has a much different mindset than a wedding or family photographer. The cheapest session isn't always the best value.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! I offer payment plans through PayPal Credit that let you spread your investment over 6 months interest-free, with your $500 session fee due at booking. . My goal is for cost not to be the reason you miss out on feeling this good.
What else might I spend money on?
Most clients budget for a few extras, and I'd rather you know up front:
Additional images beyond your collection
Additional products such as companion albums, magazines, viewfinders, etc
Outfits and lingerie: you may already own pieces you love, and I'm happy to help you choose in your wardrobe consultation
Is boudoir photography worth the investment?
This one is personal, so I'll answer it from experience. Almost every client tells me the same thing after seeing the back of my camera: "Wow, is that me?" You walk away with images you'll treasure and, honestly, a different way of seeing yourself. If you're weighing the decision, my post on the top 5 reasons to invest in a boudoir session goes deeper.
How to choose the right photographer for your budget
