Yes, a boudoir session makes an incredible gift, whether it's for your partner, for a milestone, or for yourself. You get a pampered, guided experience and photographs you'll treasure, and albums and wall art turn them into a gift that feels truly personal. If you're hoping to give boudoir photos for the holidays, book early so there's time for your session, your reveal, and your order.
A boudoir session is one of the most personal gifts you can give, and one of the most memorable to receive. Here's how it works with me in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Is boudoir photography a good gift for my partner?
It's one of the best. Boudoir photos can be an anniversary, birthday, or wedding present, and a reminder of your love for your special someone. Albums and wall art are incredible gifts to give someone who is special, and they're so much more meaningful than something off a shelf. Many of my clients tell me that picking out outfits and getting ready for the session was half the fun.
Is it a good gift to give yourself?
Absolutely. Plenty of my clients book simply because they decided they deserve it, and it's often the part they treasure most. Seeing yourself through the lens of a professional boudoir photographer can change how you see yourself. Almost every client says something like "Wow, is that me?" when she sees the back of my camera. Read more about why boudoir photography is worth it.
Which occasions are perfect for boudoir?
Anniversaries, whether it's your first or your 25th
Weddings, as a gift for your partner on your wedding day or for the honeymoon
Birthdays and milestones
The holidays, for a gift that isn't a sweater
A new chapter, or no occasion at all
What kind of boudoir gifts can I give?
After your session, you'll choose your favorites at your reveal and ordering appointment and purchase a collection or items from the à la carte menu. Gift-worthy options include:
Albums: a keepsake that tells the story of your session
Wall art: a statement piece for your own space
Digital images: easy to share privately
Companion albums, magazines, and viewfinders: fun extras that make a gift feel special
Can I give a boudoir session to someone else?
Yes! I offer gift certificates, so you can give someone a boudoir session with me. Reach out and I'll set it up. You can get them for a friend, a loved one, a partner, etc.
How far ahead should I book for the holidays?
Book as early as you can. Your session lasts about 90 minutes, and we meet again a week or two later for your reveal and ordering appointment. In order to have your artwork arrive in time for the holidays, you should make sure to book your session by the third week of November! Not sure about the whole process? Here's what to expect at a boudoir session.
How much does a boudoir session cost?
Sessions with me start at $500 (a session fee, separate from your images and products), and most clients invest around $2,000 to $3,000 in their images and products. There's no minimum spend, so you can choose what fits your budget, and payment plans are available. See the full breakdown in what boudoir photography costs in the San Francisco Bay Area.
